The more technology you have the less easy it is to control. From turning five remotes into one, or making sure the light switch in the bedroom turns all the lights off in the house, automating makes sense. When it comes to control less is more and intuitive control is the only kind of control worth having. However what goes on behind the scenes is often a lot more complicated and requires detailed planning and co-ordination. For example, will your projector be able to keep cool in the cabinet you have bought; will the wi-fi signal reach as far as you need and does every TV turn on and off of when you want if you don't use the remote control that came with the set? This and many other problems can plague what should have been a simple project. James and Giles are here to design all of the bugs out of your system before the first cable is laid.
