Giles is the Managing Director of James and Giles Ltd and is a CEDIA Certified Electronic Systems Designer and Presenter. Giles completed a degree in Sound Technology at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) where he won awards for his work including the Sennheiser Student Achievement Award. After completing his degree he trained at Autograph Sound in London as a theatre technician and assisted on productions including The Lion King. He then worked as a recording studio designer and consultant to the arts faculties of educational establishments co-ordinating some prestigious projects including acting as consultant to the Belfast Insitute (BIFHE) to develop a state of the art recording studio and performing arts facility at the new Millfield Campus. He sits on the membership committee of CEDIA and regularly provides training to architects and construction individuals on home automation.
